Do You Need A Newsletter

You might be wondering if you really need to be spending your time writing and sending newsletters each month. Whilst it might seem unnecessary or a waste of time, there are lots of benefits to sending out newsletters.

Do you need to have a newsletter? Probably. They can be a really useful marketing tool. That doesn’t mean you need to send them out all the time, but reminding your subscribers that you’re still there every now and then can be great for business.

Let’s look at some of the ways newsletters can benefit your art business:

Drive More Sales:

By sending newsletters to your customers you can boost your sales. The thing about newsletters is that people have to actively subscribe to them. That means anyone who has subscribed is interested in what you’re doing and what you’re selling. This is why newsletters work well when you are trying to get more sales. You can showcase all your products, as well as notify people of sales, new products, and offer discount codes or exclusive deals.

Build Relationships:

If a customer doesn’t hear from you, they might not feel particularly valued, as thus will be unlikely to make any future purchases. By sending a newsletter, you are able to keep customer relationships going. It costs more to get new customers than it does to retain customers, so if you can show that you care about the relationship you have with customers, it will be better in the long run.

Drive Traffic:

A newsletter means you can drive traffic to other platforms such as your website or social media. It’s important to include links in your newsletters because the goal is to get the reader to carry out an action more than just reading the email. Having links to products is a great way to get readers to click through to your website and make a purchase.

Customers Will Remember You:

By sending out newsletters, you will be remembered by your customers. This is good because even if someone isn’t ready to make a purchase right now, when they are in the future, they will think of you. Make sure that you are giving value with each newsletter you send, that way people will be appreciative of receiving them and are more likely to remember you, regardless of if you are sending them weekly or monthly.
